Baptism
Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so also we may live a new way of life.

Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It symbolizes the profound spiritual transformation that occurs when we confess and believe in Jesus. Just as we are immersed in the water, our old life of sin is buried. Rising out of the water signifies the resurrection into a new life, walking in the fullness of Christ.
Baptism itself does not save; it is an act of obedience following faith in Christ. Salvation comes through faith alone, as stated in Ephesians 2:8-9.
A helpful analogy is that of a wedding ring. Wearing a ring does not make someone married, but it serves as an outward symbol of the commitment that already exists. In the same way, baptism is an outward expression of the inward change that has already taken place in the heart of the believer.
