Greetings from the Pastor

We believe his way is

"the Way,

the Truth,

and the Life...

Welcome to the Body of Christ at Highlands

If you are reading this then you are one of those few people who actually read the Pastor’s Welcome. Thank you! I usually start with the pictures and then go to the worship page. Maybe you are more interested in Sunday School for your children or the Child Development Center. Or maybe you’re interested in our Community Ministries that reaches out to those who are physically, emotionally, and/or spiritually homeless. There are so many ministries at Highlands.

However you’ve come to this website, and whatever your interests, we welcome you. At the heart of Highlands is a sincere love for God and our neighbors. We take very seriously Jesus’ invitation, “Come and Follow Me.” We believe his is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” That means we follow him when the road is comfortable and we follow him when the road is rough. The good news is that we follow Jesus together. And in doing so we discover the power of God’s love for our lives. We are not alone!

We love our church and we would love for you to be a part of it. God is at work at Highlands doing great things. Our congregation is very diverse and our worship is very traditional. But most of all we are very excited to see Jesus at work in your life. I invite you to worship with us. We will help you find a small group. We will also help you discover your strengths/calling for ministry. At Highlands everyone, clergy and laity, are ministers. So we celebrate the fact that every person is an important part of the Body of Christ.

If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.
1 Corinthians 12:26- 27

Blessing,
Mikah Hudson, Senior Pastor
